Yes, del-IMMUNE V has a unique scientific history. The strain we now use, called Lactobacillus rhamnosus DV, was originally part of a research project involving several probiotic strains studied for immune support.<ul type="disc"><li>The DV strain (originally labeled &quot;Lb4&quot;) was isolated during research on medicinal herb fermentation alongside another strain, LB3. It showed promising immune benefits.</li><li>In 2002, it was brought to the U.S. for testing and industrial production. During this process, the strain was renamed L. rhamnosus DV and became the active ingredient in del-IMMUNE V.</li><li>There was some confusion during early strain transfers. Another strain, LE (originally L. delbrueckii), was intended for further development, but due to a labeling mistake, L. rhamnosus was used instead. Fortunately, testing confirmed that the chosen strain offered the same immune benefits.</li><li>Other strains like LM (L. plantarum) and LB3 were also part of the original research but are not used in del-IMMUNE V.</li></ul>In short, del-IMMUNE V production/manufacturing uses a well-tested, safe, and effective strain called Lactobacillus rhamnosus DV, backed by years of scientific research, systemic genetic testing, and quality control.
